DiGiCo Data Centre Expansion – Approved

Patch Planning are pleased to have supported our client DiGiCo in securing State Significant development consent for the vertical expansion of the data centre at 400 Harris Street, Pyrmont.

The expansion seamlessly integrates two existing data centres on the site to create a holistic campus. Patch worked closely with the project team, which included DEM (Aust) Pty Ltd, LCI Consultants, and Census Advisory, as well as key stakeholders including the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, City of Sydney, and the Government Architect NSW, to ensure key design and environmental issues such as visual impact and overshadowing were carefully considered and ameliorated.

The expansion has an estimated development cost of over $600 million and responds to growing demand for secure, high-performance digital infrastructure in Sydney. The project will provide for an increased total power consumption of 120MW, while greatly improving the environmental performance of the existing asset.
