NSW Data Centre Projects Approved as IDA Initiatives

Patch Planning is supporting two major data centre projects in New South Wales that have been accepted as Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) projects in the NSW Government’s latest announcement.

• SYD1 (Stage 2) Data Centre, Norwest
This $1.2 billion project forms part of a broader $1.45 billion data centre precinct in Sydney’s north-west.

• Honeman Close Data Centre, Huntingwood
This $1.26 billion project is shovel-ready and will deliver critical digital infrastructure for Western Sydney.

The IDA fast-tracks state significant developments across NSW. It focuses on projects ready for delivery but facing complex coordination across public authorities and regulatory pathways.

These data centre projects reflect growing demand for digital infrastructure in NSW. They also highlight the need for efficient planning and approvals to support economic growth.

Patch Planning will continue to support clients through planning approvals, risk management, and project delivery across Sydney and New South Wales.
